DHA Units 7 & 8 Upgrade

Project Description

This project goal was to upgrade Units 7 and 8 of Building 13 at VBS to extend the ‘life’ of the property for another 15 years, modernise to market standard, and to bring the heritage listed property up to the Defence minimum requirement in line with the DHA/Defence portfolio.

The works to Units 7 and 8 at VBS required completion of a large internal refurb with minor external works to raise the standard of living for the future occupants. As the property carries significant heritage impact, Buildster maintained continuous communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure the listed heritage elements were upheld and preserved. The scope of works included strip out and refurb of the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms, new carpet throughout, new joinery, upgrade electrical and lighting, new window furnishings, internal external painting, sandstone pointing, HAZMAT Lead remediation, and minor roof works.
