Building 99 Refurbishment

Project Description

The works at Building 99 on RAAF Richmond was design and construct. The works comprised of a complete building refurbishment.

Refurbishment included all of the interior including ceilings, floor and wall finishes, bathrooms, kitchen, meeting rooms, comms room, entry and foyer. Externally we re-roofed the building with security one way screws and constructed a new accessible ramp. The project involved all new services including all electrical, data, mechanical, hydraulic and fire. Security upgrades to roofing, windows and a new security front entry suite complying with Zone 2 requirements were undertaken.

During the project Buildster maintained WHS objectives and targets with regular WHS audits by external auditors. Buildster undertook a Federal Safety audit on this project, the outcomes from the audit were favourable with minimal corrective actions required.

Final defect walkthrough with stakeholder and client required minimal corrective actions, resulting in extremely quick and easy handover allowing Defence to begin use of building the following week.
